Interesting Fundraising Ideas – The Duke Annual Fund
Interesting fundraising ideas:
Deweymedia + partners created the video elements for this email campaign for Duke’s Annual Fund. The interviews were shot in one long day in New York City (except for the Duke chapel segment). This campaign helped the Duke class of 1984 set an attendance record for reunions, and in an extremely tough financial year, the class was only $120,000 away from reaching the all time annual giving record. Annual Fund video production can be as simple as these interviews below, or more complicated such as the Annual Fund video productions we created for Riverdale Country School and Lawrencevile School.
Making a series of videos out of a project can often be more advantageous for a client. So often in a video production there is a pile of wonderful, high quality footage that gets left on the cutting room floor simply because there isn’t space for it in a single video. Spacing out excellent content across multiple deliverables also has the obvious practical benefit for a client of having more products to disseminate. It can be a slippery slope, however, and the most important thing to keep in mind in this approach is to make sure each video can stand on its own and is still effectively communicating a valuable message.
