Horace Mann – Year End Annual Fund Video
In December of 2013, Horace Mann School’s end of year Annual Fund Video was sent (in an email) to Parents, Alumni and Friends of the school. It is a relatively straight-forward fund raising video production with some nice editing tricks and a great music track with a strong beat. It’s quite a bit different than some of our previous work for Horace Mann (see videos here, here and here)
Making videos like these forces a lot of the work to be front-loaded on a project, because the piece is edited in time to the music (which, naturally, must be selected before you begin the production) and the words as well as the pictures all should be picked in advance. Then our editor works his magic. A number of nice tricks were employed by the editor on this piece, but we’ll save them until you create a project with our team.
Though this example is for a school’s annual fund, the methodology is applicable to all the videos we create for our clients. An effective video for your company or school doesn’t necessarily need to be large in size or scope. Sometimes the best vehicle for what needs to be communicated is short and sweet.
When we set out on building a project with a client, we always first discuss their needs and goals so that we can determine the very best ways to effectively convey their message as possible.
