The Baldwin School – A Great Capital Campaign Case Study

Baldwin School 125th Anniversary
We created the video above for Baldwin as the primary deliverable for the school’s 125th anniversary celebration. We feel we produced a great capital campaign for them, with this piece at the center. The video is being used as a highlight of both small and large gatherings of alumnae being held around the country during this 125th anniversary year (2013-14) of Baldwin’s creation.
As we edited the piece, we sadly started to realize that there would be a lot of great content left out of the final production. That footage entailed considerable time and effort on the part of not only the Baldwin team and the deweymedia crew but also the many alumnae who took time of their busy days (and nights) to be interviewed.
The big question was – should we create a second long version of the film, or more than one shorter versions? As Baldwin looked at their ongoing communication needs over the course of the yearlong campaign ahead, we saw a way to adapt the unused footage we had in a way that would serve their ongoing communications needs. We realized there were potentially dozens of additional videos which could be edited from the unused video interviews and incorporated into their monthly alumnae communications over the yearlong effort. So we went to work with renewed vigor.
