Journalism Production
It’s the annual Crucolo Cheese Parade – December 6 in Concord, MA!
It’s perhaps one of the odder parades you’ll ever attend… but you get some free cheese. Not all four hundred pounds of it though. You have to see it to believe it…. it’s Concord’s largest annual cheese parade (it’s only one too). If you haven’t been there, you haven’t seen Concord’s Biggest Cheese.
This journalism production is worth the watch just for a taste of Italy’s finest…. or is it Concord’s finest? No matter, Peter Lovis will welcome you. Produced by journalist Paul Dewey, this piece looks at the December 6, 2012 parade, and the annual trip down the red carpet.
This video shows off some of the unique local heritage and traditions we have here in the Greater Boston area. Though this particular video is focused on the parade, the journalistic method of investigation our producers used in creating this short film is a cornerstone in our production toolkit.
History never stands still, as they say. Though the annual Crucolo Cheese Parade has become a growing community event, it has only been taking place since 2009. It’s exciting that even in an American town like Concord, with centuries of rich and vibrant history, the citizens continue to create new traditions, experiment with new ideas, and even inspire…however cheesy that may sound.
