Here’s an excerpt from a documentary about Roger Troutman and Zapp.  This specific clip explores the band’s pioneering use of the ‘talk box’ while the film uses interviews with Snoop Dogg, DJ Quik, Zapp and others.  My friend and Columbia J school classmate Frank Williams produced the doc.
