Frequently Asked Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is your specialty?

With strong journalistic roots, we transform organizations’ key messages and stories into compelling video productions. By carefully listening to your organization we build effective, focused communications separating you from your competition.

What’s the most important element in a GREAT video?

The magic of film & video is this – the total is far greater than each of its parts. Compelling stories, effective music and strong images can make the hair on your neck stand up. Good videos use the magic artfully to compel viewers to act.

Picking the ‘right’ video production company?

Meet the point person you’ll deal with daily, not just a deal closer you may never see after the contract is signed. Does the producer ‘get’ your org? Will you get along? You’re going to spend a ton of time together. Your gut will steer you right.

Why don’t we talk about awards?

Some companies define themselves by awards. We think the best level of quality is customer satisfaction. Have we won awards? Sure six EMMYs and a bunch of TELLYS. But for us satisfied customers are our best measure of success.

What do we do if our TEAM has no on-camera experience?

There are lots of ways to tell a great story, but realize that journalists are trained to help people tell their stories, whether or not they have had media training. We do this well and the work we produce proves it.

What is the best production technique for our organization?

The answers vary depending on the clients’ needs. That’s why we don’t stick to one kind of camera, editing format or delivery platform. Technology is changing so quickly we believe it’s a mistake to lock in these decisions for our clients.

What’s wrong with hiring a college kid to create my project?

A quality final production that’s on message, professionally produced, and creative may seem easy to create, but it’s not. There are many moving pieces in an effective production. Trusting experienced professionals can save you a lot of time and effort.

How do I use video to enhance my capital campaign?

A lot depends on your audience and how you plan to approach them. Video reconnects them with your organization, familiarizes them with your needs and provides that emotional connection you cannot get from a written page.
