Groton School Film Production:
This admissions video, created for Groton school by Deweymedia, highlights the school’s life and spirit. The school film production drops prospective students into the environment so they can learn first hand about the energy and vibrancy of life at Groton. It is one of three videos that comprise the admissions video campaign we crafted for the school. The video production was created in only three days of filming on campus outside of Boston.
The video specifically profiles what the students do during their spirit week: annual unique events that have become part of the treasured Groton tradition. Each year the students decide on original themes for each day of the week leading up to their big game against their rival, St. Mark’s. The shared experience the student body has during spirit week develops their camaraderie and further connects them with the Groton School’s spirit.
We also show some of the year-long activities and aspects of dorm life on campus, which is indispensable information for a prospective student. From music and drama programs to a wide range of sports, Groton offers a large swath of extracurricular options for its students to participate in.
The diverse community and variety of activity options doesn’t pigeon-hole the students into a certain mold. Rather, it allows the members of the student body to be comfortable with themselves and grow their passions.
School film productions are complicated and important business, to create an effective piece one must turn to the professionals. It’s far too significant a marketing element for the school to be left to amateurs.
