In a trailer for Baz Lurmann’s latest Uberwork, The Great Gatsby, Baz shows he’s all Jazzed up on trippy buzzing screens again and packed with action.  Nothing is real, and everything is overdone… Baz style.  A solemn Leonardo DiCaprio seems incapable of pulling off a Gatsby style performance while the contemporary music of Jay-Z and Kanye strikes me as harshly incongruent.

Baz needs to tone it down many, many notches.  They sure show the big budget on the screen, but this film doesn’t work for me.  You’ll need to take a nap after watching this high energy chaos.
